This man’s name is Charlie and the cat’s name is Nicolas. Some Union Square panhandlers just ask for change, but the more enterprising ones have a value-add. Charlie created value by adding Nicholas to the top of his head.
The combination coaxed three dollars out of me. I think Charlie is on to something.

We’ve got a guy here in SF called the “dog, cat, rat, man” He trained a cat to sit on top of a dog, and then trained a rat to sit on top of the cat. It’s an odd, and bizarre site. Perhaps these guys should get together and work out an act.

Charlie is a volunteer in our soup kitchen. Big heart at work and great sense of humor. Don’t be fooled–he’s intelligent.
